ikamper-skycamp-4-0-duo
iKamper Skycamp 4.0 Duo Roof Top Tent

The Skycamp 4.0 Duo is the compact end of iKamper's new-generation Skycamp range. It replaces the Skycamp 3.0 Mini (iKamper has renamed the Mini the Duo) and is aimed at couples and solo travellers whose roof or tub rack doesn't have room for a full-size tent. Dual cab utes, small SUVs and wagons all suit it, and its narrower footprint leaves space on the bars for an awning or a few accessories.

Like every Skycamp, the hard shell folds out to give you a queen-size bed on the roof. iKamper quotes a setup time of under a minute. For the 4.0 series it has taken the cork floor and interior lighting from the old DLX trim and made them standard, enlarged the doors and windows for better airflow, and added pass-throughs so you can run power or a heater duct into the tent. Aussie-spec tents come with iKamper's 75mm self-inflating Comfort Lite mattress, and there's room to leave your bedding packed inside when the tent is closed.

Why the Skycamp 4.0 Duo?
You get the fast Skycamp setup and four-season build in a tent sized for smaller vehicles, at 59 kg with the mattress fitted.

Tent Structure & Materials:

Shell: Dual-layer fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) DuraCore™ shell with a 3cm insulating air gap

Floor: Insulated honeycomb aluminium panels topped with ThermaSeal™ cork

Canvas: BreathWeave™ 300gsm poly-cotton blackout canvas

Rainfly: 90gsm recycled 75D polyester ripstop, waterproof with DWR coating

Seasons: 4-season rated (rain, wind and UV)

Setup: Fold-out design. iKamper quotes under 60 seconds

Interior & Comfort:

Sleeps: 2 people

Mattress: RTT Comfort Lite 75mm self-inflating air and foam mattress

Sleeping Area: 153cm [W] x 210cm [L] (Australian Queen)

Lighting: Integrated interior LED, 6W, DC5V USB powered

Pass-throughs: Power and HVAC/duct ports

Access: Larger doors and windows than the 3.0 generation

Mounting & Inclusions:

Mounting Brackets 3.0: Universal system that suits most crossbars

Ladder: Adjustable telescoping aluminium HC Ladder (225cm)

Crossbar Spacing: 70–110cm

Rack Requirement: iKamper specifies a minimum dynamic load rating of 64 kg for your roof and rack

Shell Load: iKamper advises against mounting anything on top of the Skycamp shell; doing so may void the warranty

Warranty: 2-year limited warranty

Dimensions:

Footprint (closed): 155cm [L] x 133cm [W]

Height: 34cm closed / 126cm open

Weight: 59 kg including mattress (ladder adds 6 kg)

We supply and fit the Skycamp 4.0 Duo at our Marrickville workshop, 94–96 Chapel St, Marrickville NSW, and can supply the rack or bars to suit.
