The Skycamp 4.0 Duo is the compact end of iKamper's new-generation Skycamp range. It replaces the Skycamp 3.0 Mini (iKamper has renamed the Mini the Duo) and is aimed at couples and solo travellers whose roof or tub rack doesn't have room for a full-size tent. Dual cab utes, small SUVs and wagons all suit it, and its narrower footprint leaves space on the bars for an awning or a few accessories.
Like every Skycamp, the hard shell folds out to give you a queen-size bed on the roof. iKamper quotes a setup time of under a minute. For the 4.0 series it has taken the cork floor and interior lighting from the old DLX trim and made them standard, enlarged the doors and windows for better airflow, and added pass-throughs so you can run power or a heater duct into the tent. Aussie-spec tents come with iKamper's 75mm self-inflating Comfort Lite mattress, and there's room to leave your bedding packed inside when the tent is closed.
