Roof Top Tents

Rooftop tents from Alu-Cab, iKamper, James Baroud, Autohome, Roof Space and more, supplied and fitted at our workshop at 94–96 Chapel St, Marrickville NSW. We check your vehicle's roof and rack ratings before we quote, so the tent you choose is one your vehicle can carry.

Choosing a rooftop tent

Start with the vehicle. Your rack, tent and anything else on the roof must sit within the lowest dynamic (driving) load rating of the vehicle and the rack. The static (parked) rating is what carries you and your bedding overnight. Hard-shell tents open fastest and sit lowest on the road. Fold-out tents give more sleeping room for the footprint. On dual cab utes, a tub rack or an Alu-Cab canopy can carry the tent over the tray.

Rooftop tent FAQs

How much does it cost to have a rooftop tent fitted?

Tent fitting onto two existing load bars starts from $300, including unloading and handling. Load bars plus tent fitting starts from $500. These prices apply to tents and bars we supply, and other setups are quoted for your vehicle.

Do you fit tents bought elsewhere?

Sorry, no. We only fit tents, bars and accessories we supply, so we can stand behind the whole install.

Which is the lightest hard-shell tent you stock?

Among the Alu-Cab and iKamper tents, the Alu-Cab LT-50 is 46 kg (tent only). The iKamper X-Cover 3.0 is 58 kg and the Skycamp 4.0 Duo is 59 kg with its mattress.

Can I see a tent before I buy?

Talk to us about which tents are available to see at our Marrickville workshop. Stock changes, so it's best to call ahead.
